So, no, I haven't actually started drawing anything yet.
Sorry about that. Soon and very soon.
What I have done is researched the names of my colored pencils, mostly to see if I could figure out Arteza's numbering scheme.
I haven't asked Arteza (yet) about the numbering, but I probably will because I'm really curious about it.

Out of the Box
Actually, that heading is misleading. I didn't take the pencils out of their container to get the shot below.
This is how they looked when I got them.

Colored pencils in their original order |
They are in no particular order. They just look nice that way, no matter which of the three trays is on top.
After I put the 72 of them in numerical order, they looked like this.

Pencils in number order |
Here's a closer look at each of the trays.

Tray #1 - Pencils A001-A035 |

Tray #3 - Pencils A080-A120 |
I really expected a bit more order as far as similar colors being grouped together. As you can see, there's still a lot of apparent randomness going on.
So I rearranged them once more in an order that does group them sorta rainbow-like.

A rainbow of color! |
It's not what I'd call a perfect ordering, but at least I know where to look for my blues.
Show Me More Color
Arteza makes a larger set of 120 pencils. I figured, since my set of 72 ends with A120, the full set of 120 would just fill in the number gaps.
Nope.
Here is a chart I found on the Arteza site that shows what you get in the 120 pencil package.

All 120 pencils |
I'll spare your eyes and tell you that most of the additional 48 pencils are above and beyond A120.
Here's the complete list. The rows highlighted in yellow are the new pencils in the 120 pack.
I haven't asked Arteza (yet) about the numbering, but I probably will because I'm really curious about it.
Are they leaving gaps for future expansion? Are some of those gaps already filled in?
Maybe there's a larger set I haven't discovered yet...?
