I made a start. It's not exactly pretty yet, and maybe never will be.
You, the beholder, will get to judge.
The subject of the incomplete drawing below is one that a handful of my friends will recognize immediately.
The rest of you will either say, "Hunh?" or will perhaps know what category it falls into.
What you can see so far is the player board for the "red player" (that's normally me) for a game called Suburbia.
If you look really close, you might be able to see some of the outlining I did for the rest of the board towards the top of the page.
So far, I've used Blood Orange, Rose Red, Charcoal Gray, Cloudy Gray, and a little Noir - though not as much as you might think.
The thing I've already come to appreciate the most is the importance of sharp pencils - something I haven't really used yet, except for the outlining.
And it shows.
I do have this eraser set and this sharpener coming from Amazon though!
I'll be posting progress reports here as I go along. No guarantees on the frequency. These are as much for my own benefit as for your enjoyment, dear reader.
Comments, especially just below, are always welcome. Be brutally honest though. No whitewashing allowed.
